Weather Cancellation Policy

We will follow the National Weather Report for our area when we know a storm is coming toward the Quad Cities.

For winter:

  1. If at least 6” inches of snow or icy conditions are forecast through Saturday night into Sunday.
  2. If Blizzard conditions are forecast or already present.
  3. If there are well below zero wind chill conditions.
  4. If authorities have issued a Travel Advisory for our area. 

For summer:

  1. When a Hazardous Weather Warning has been issued for our area such as high winds, severe thunderstorms, and tornadoes.

Final decision will be made by the Lead Pastor, OMT Chair and Elder Chair no later than 7 PM Saturday.

If church is cancelled, an all-church e-mail will be sent out, and local news outlets will be notified.Regardless of decision, those who do not feel safe to be out should stay home. If possible a live stream will be provided.
